This week’s LiveWell Finney County newsletter highlighted National Prevention Week and the importance of simple actions that help keep our community safe and healthy. Community members were encouraged to safely dispose of unused or expired medications to help prevent prescription drug misuse and protect children, pets, and the environment. The newsletter also shared information about the new webPOISONCONTROL app, which provides fast, expert poison help 24/7.  

The newsletter also focused on the importance of protective factors — positive influences like supportive relationships, school involvement, and community connections that help youth thrive. LiveWell also shared upcoming events, including the May 13 LHEAT Meeting, the May 26 Coalition Meeting, and Prevention Night at the Pool returning July 29.
